Privacy notice
How FlyTally handles account, logbook, Training progress, flight-track and security data during the private beta.
All legal noticesController and contact
FlyTally private beta is responsible for the FlyTally private-beta service. Contact: support@fly-tally.com.
Operator address: Operator identification pending before public commercial launch. Operator registration/ID: Private beta — not yet published. Formal operator identification is a release blocker before a public commercial launch.
Data we process
FlyTally processes account and authentication data, pilot-profile and licence data you choose to enter, flight and aircraft records, FlyTally Training learner progress and aircraft learning state, GPS tracks you import, signatures and certification audit data, sharing preferences, support communications, and limited security/session metadata.
A public flight share exposes only the fields you deliberately select. Private remarks, licence data, costs, signatures, certification details and crew identity are excluded from the public share payload.
Why and on what basis
Account, logbook, export, sharing and support data are processed to provide the service you request. Security and abuse-prevention metadata are processed to protect FlyTally, its users and records. Optional marketing or non-essential tracking is not part of the current private-beta design.
Where consent is legally required for a future optional feature, that feature must remain disabled until valid consent is obtained.
Recipients and international processing
FlyTally uses specialist service providers for hosting, database infrastructure, email delivery, identity, maps and related operations. The current provider register is published in the Subprocessors notice.
Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, FlyTally requires an applicable transfer mechanism or other lawful safeguard before production use.
Retention and your rights
Core logbook records are retained while your account is active because continuity is a primary purpose of the service. Revoked public-share metadata is removed after 30 days; expired or revoked authentication sessions and password-reset records use a 30-day cleanup window, and authentication security events use a 90-day baseline unless an incident requires a justified hold.
Training learner progress can be exported or erased independently in FlyTally Training. Main FlyTally account deletion first requests erasure of Training learner progress; if Training cannot confirm that erasure, the main account remains active so the user can retry or contact support. After confirmation, account deletion removes authentication data, public-sharing metadata, stored backups, GPS tracks, expenses, live profile/settings, licences/documents and recency evidence. Historical flight/FSTD records and signed or approved integrity evidence may remain under a pseudonymised deleted-pilot identity so an existing aviation record or another pilot’s signed evidence is not silently destroyed.
Requests for access, correction, portability, restriction or a broader erasure review can be sent to support@fly-tally.com. Identity may be verified before a request is fulfilled, and any retained record must have a documented integrity or legal reason.
